DIRECTORATE OF MANPOWER & TRAINING SINDH
INTRODUCTION:
This is an attached department functioning under the Labour Department headed by
the director (BPS-19) with its head office at Karachi. It has a network spread
all over the province with its office at district level. This Directorate is
concerned with:
- Assistance to un-employed persons in finding suitable jobs and assistance to
employers in finding suitable persons for job through Employment Exchanges.

Guidance to young students both boys and girls by the officers of vocational guidance unit in making realistic choice of life time career and to make them prepared to meet the future requirement of labor market.

Improving the employability / productivity of potential labor force through Vocational Training by way of Technical (Institutional) Training and Apprenticeship Training.

Collection, compilation and dissemination of statistics on various aspects of manpower through Annual Establishment Enquiry and survey of professional, Technical and vocational Training Institution and monitoring evaluation of the training employment position.

Development activities for creating infrastructure for above mentioned activities.
